Ukrainian pupils visit the solar park
In September, we welcomed a special group of guests to F&S solar service: students from Ternopil (Ukraine), who were visiting Germany as part of a student exchange program with the Gottfried-Kinkel-Realschule Erftstadt.

The day began in our company building, where we gave the young people a presentation we had created on the topics of the energy transition, photovoltaics and sustainable energy supply. The students were given exciting insights into the work of F&S and were able to expand their knowledge about the role of solar energy in the European energy system.
This day was a valuable experience for us: we were not only able to pass on specialist knowledge, but also make a contribution to international understanding. Such encounters show how important it is to work together across borders towards a sustainable future.
Afterwards, we went to our natural solar park near Euskirchen. There, our employees clearly explained how a large-scale PV system works and answered the young people's questions. The pupils were able to experience first-hand how modern photovoltaic systems are planned, built and operated - a practical insight that made what they had previously heard tangible.
One particular highlight was our donation of a PV system for the young people's school in Ternopil. With this support, we want to help ensure that knowledge about renewable energies is also imparted locally in Ukraine and that the pupils can use sustainable technologies themselves.
